Northern Ireland star Kyle Lafferty charged with betting misconduct
Northern Ireland star Kyle Lafferty has been charged by The Football Association (FA) with alleged misconduct in relation to betting.
The FA said it is alleged that on February 20 of this year, Mr Lafferty – who plays as a forward for Norwich City – placed a bet on “the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of, or occurrence in, a football match or competition in breach of FA Rule E8”.
It said he has until August 5, 2016, to respond to the charge.
