Motorists are being asked to exercise caution this morning after rain may have comptomised the ‘salting of roads on the scheduled network considered to be at risk of snow and ice’.

TrafficwatchNI are reporting that whilst salting of key areas has been undertaken through the night, “due to passing rain showers overnight wash off will have been caused”.

“Road users are advised to exercise caution when travelling this morning,” it adds.
