Turning a blind eye to ethno-religious nature of conflict

Morning View (December 14) began, 'Let us all be very clear about the nature of the Loughgall IRA gang that was stopped '“ thank goodness '“ in 1987 by the SAS.'

Towards the end it stated, “This is a scandal of monumental proportions. A state that prevented civil war is carefully picked apart for occasional failures in its generally heroic and restrained operations against the murderous Provisional IRA.”

Let us all be very clear about the origin of all of this.

Britain’s 1920 Partition of Ireland Act created a predominantly Protestant British sub state with a locked in Irish Catholic minority.

All that has happened since was basically bound to happen.

As Morning View makes very clear, unionists continue to turn a blind eye to the fundamental ethno-religious nature of our conflict.

Redraw the border and release the Irish Catholic people.

Hopefully we can all live in peace without British or Irish domination.
