A firm has announced plans to develop over 1,000 new homes in Newtownards.

Fraser Homes said the scheme – called Rivenwood – is worth in excess of £200m, and “will be Northern Ireland’s largest housing development to have commenced in 10 years”.

It will be made up of semi-detached and detached homes designed in what the firm calls a “New England” style.

It claimed the development will bring hundreds of jobs.
