A clash of swords at conquerors' festival
This scene of two 'medieval warriors' battling it out formed part of the 2016 Bruce Festival at Carrickfergus over the weekend.
The name recalls Scottish strongmen Robert the Bruce and his brother Edward, and the festival was commemorating the seizing of Carrickfergus Castle by the Scots in 1316.
Arranged by the Ulster-Scots agency and others, the festival featured jousting, archery, storytelling and more. It ran over both Saturday and Sunday.
